For more scientific evidence on the benefits of Acupuncture, the World Health Organization also recommends Acupuncture for dozens of medical problems supported by controlled clinical research and you can check these out for your self at:

Just copy and paste this link into your address box at the very top of your web browser. It will take you to an article entitled:
"Acupuncture: Review and Analysis of Reports on Controlled Clinical Trials". There you will find plenty of scientific studies that support Acupuncture.
Or if that is still not enough for you then check out these books:
1. Clinical Acupuncture: Scientific Basis, by G. Stux, MD, and R. Hammerschlag, Ph.D. ( 2007)
2. Acupuncture Research: Strategies for Establishing an Evidence Base, by Hugh MacPherson, Ph.D., et al. (2008)
This second book provides evidence as to why the study of Acupuncture is unique and does not fit easily into Western concepts of the drug research model, i.e. the double-blinded placebo-controlled randomized trial that was designed to research Western pharmaceuticals. And it offers the reader information about what those experts, who actually do research in Acupuncture, are doing to continue to develop an evidence based medicine.
